The Shalom Catholic Community, together with Our Lady of Aparecida Prayer Group of St. Matthew, invite you to Be Filled on Saturday, September 12, 9:30 AM - 3:45 PM. This charismatic retreat is led by Fr. Cristiano Pinheiro and missionaries from Brooklyn. Be Filled will help you experience the endless love of God who is your Father, and the joy and life-giving power of the Holy Spirit. This retreat will be in English and Portuguese. All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

For the retreat preparation in English, there are two talks to watch during the two weeks leading up to our gathering on September 12. The Life in the Spirit Seminar follows a progressive journey, and each talk prepares participants more deeply for the prayer of the Effusion of the Holy Spirit.

Week 3: Be Filled - In-person Retreat Day

This day of prayer will include two talks:

Belong & Be Free – A talk on how God's love calls us to belong to Him, followed by the renewal of our baptismal promises.

Spirit & Life: The Father's Promise Is for You – A talk on the gift of the Holy Spirit, followed by a prayer for the Effusion of the Holy Spirit.
Each talk lasts approximately 20–40 minutes.
We recommend beginning with a brief prayer before viewing the talks, asking the Holy Spirit to open our hearts to God's love and prepare us to receive His Word. After each talk, allow time for personal reflection or sharing with a friend.
