Parents' Club is an important part of St. Matthew's Catholic School and exists to support our school and its mission to educate the whole student by Christ-centered formation in a Catholic environment, leading them to do God's will in this world so as to be with Him in the next. Following is a summary of the many ways Parents' Club supports our school. All parents of St. Matthew's students are members of Parents' Club.
COMMUNICATION - WE SHARE INFORMATION & FACILITATE FEEDBACK WITHIN OUR SCHOOL FAMILY Monthly Parents’ Club Meetings, Weekly Newsletters, Parish Updates, Reminders and Happenings, Back to School Preparations, and Room Ambassadors are some of the ways we try to keep parents informed and connected with our parish, school, teachers and administration.
VOLUNTEERISM - WE HELP OUR KIDS & TEACHERS
Parents’ Club members plan our annual fundraising events and activities, coordinate and support our hot lunch program, support and show gratitude to our teachers, Sisters, priests and staff around holidays and special occasions, manage our used uniform store, host our school book fair, and help create memories for our kids.
FUNDRAISING - WE RAISE FUNDS FOR OUR SCHOOL
Parents’ Club coordinates and raises funds annually to meet school needs and priorities. In recent years, Parents' Club has purchased smartboards and iPads for our classrooms, a sound system and noise reducing panels for the gym, and supplies for our fine arts programs, as well as contributed significantly to building the school's new playground and outdoor play spaces. Your contributions to Parents' Club are invested back in our school and directly benefit our students and staff!
FELLOWSHIP - WE WORK TO CREATE COMMUNITY
Parents’ Club hosts special events around our Catholic family milestones such as sacraments and special masses, as well as school events like Back to School Night, New Family Welcomes, Teacher Luncheons, Trivia Night, Trunk or Treat, and Catholic Schools Week activities.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
Join Parents’ Club for regular meetings, volunteer for a committee or event, or communicate with committee chairs and executive board member volunteers.
