Note: All applications, including the submission of supporting tax documents, need to be completed before the April 24, 2026 deadline to be considered.
- Empower Illinois Scholarships are not currently available for the 26-27 school year. If this changes, we will let you know and request that you apply for both Empower Scholarships as well as Parish Tuition Assistance.

- Pay the $45 FACTS application fee.
- Submit 2025 tax documents to FACTS online. This includes your 1040, W2 and/or any other tax filing documents applicable to your family. We recommend that you file your taxes as early as possible to ensure all of these forms are ready to submit before the April 25th deadline.
Notes:
- Only registered and actively attending parishioners of St. Matthew Catholic Church are eligible to receive parish tuition assistance.
- If you are a Catholic member of a different Parish, please reach out to them. You will complete the same FACTS application to be considered for the diocesan Spalding Scholarship and assistance from that parish.
- Tuition Assistance and/or Spalding Scholarships are available for Kindergarten through 12th grades and do not apply to Pre-K tuition.
- There is no need to request a separate Pastor’s recommendation for the Diocesan Spalding Scholarship. Names from the completed FACTS application will be used for this request.
