I've been an educator for 23 years teaching Kindergarten, 3rd grade, English Language Learners, Special Education as well as being an Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal. My Bachelor's degree is from Kansas State University and Master's degrees from Oklahoma State University. I also have my National Board Certification in Early Childhood. Originally from Kansas, I grew up on a cattle ranch with my parents, brother and sister. We are a close family that always kept our Catholic faith at the forefront of everything and that holds true today. My husband Joey and I have been married for 21 years and we have 2 daughters. Jenika is in 8th grade and Jackelynn is in 7th grade. We moved to Champaign in June 2017 from Oklahoma for Joey's job with the Illini Men's Basketball Coaching staff. God has a unique way of guiding you on a journey when you least expect it and that journey led me to being the principal of St. Matthew School for the past 6 years. It has truly been a blessing and I look forward to continuing this journey with our wonderful St. Matthew faculty, staff, students and families!
