I've been an educator for 23 years teaching Kindergarten, 3rd grade, English Language Learners, Special Education as well as being an Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal. My Bachelor's degree is from Kansas State University and Master's degrees from Oklahoma State University. I also have my National Board Certification in Early Childhood. Originally from Kansas, I grew up on a cattle ranch with my parents, brother and sister. We are a close family that always kept our Catholic faith at the forefront of everything and that holds true today. My husband Joey and I have 2 daughters. Jenika is in 11th grade and Jackelynn is in 10th grade at The High School of St. Thomas More. We moved to Champaign in June 2017 from Oklahoma for Joey's job with the Illini Men's Basketball Coaching staff. God has a unique way of guiding you on a journey when you least expect it and that journey led me to being the principal of St. Matthew School for the past 10 years. It has truly been a blessing and I look forward to continuing this journey with our wonderful St. Matthew faculty, staff, students and families!
