I am sure you would agree that the world, as we knew it, changed drastically in March 2020! It was a rainy, cold day in Champaign when I waved good-bye to my students from the front door of St. Matthew School while they drove by with their parents. Just a few days later I moved back to our provincial house in Alton, IL where I have served our congregation, the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George, for the last six years. I taught second grade here at St. Matthew for almost five years, following my time at St. Mary's School in Alton where I taught Religion and then third grade. 

I grew up in Ann Arbor, MI (Go Blue!) and met our sisters while studying at Franciscan University in Stuebenville, OH. I entered the convent after graduation and later studied to get my Masters in Teaching. I professed my final vows in 2007. I am excited to be back at St. Matthew where I have many fond memories of great students and a wonderful community!
